stay tuned…. 3 weeks….

hmm???

Sometimes I think about it and ask myself “why do i even still have this blog?- i don’t even have time.” Then it comes to me, I keep it cuz of times like this- a little free time to free write. Here I go on my attempt to stay on track with my thought…

Mother’s day was 2 weeks ago- Marlon and I went shopping the day before Mother’s day to try and find gifts for our moms and went home empty handed haha. On Mother’s Day, my little sister and I took our mom to the Carlsbad Outlet to shop around. I bought my mom the Versace sunglasses she’s been wanting and that was her mother’s day gift from my siblings and I. Since Marlon couldn’t find a gift for his mom, I thought it’d be better to take her to the mall the following morning- little did I know or expect, I was part of his mother’s day gift haha. He picked me up the next morning, headed back to his house and picked up his mom. I wasn’t scared at first, but when we got to the house I got all nervous cuz I didn’t what his mom was going to say. When she came out the house I said hi and introduced myself. She’s only been here in the US for a year so she didn’t really understand me and so when she got to the door of the car she asks Marlon in tagalog, “Sino sya?” (who is she?) and Marlon introduced me. The funny thing is that she didn’t have any kind of  reaction when Marlon told her who I was, so I thought “damn, she don’t like me.”- but i was wrong.

We took auntie to fashion and accompanied her to shop away haha. I suggested H&M for her and we looked around. Marlon and I walked around looking for something for his mom cuz she’s shy haha. I put together an outfit for her and she tried it on and liked it, I even picked the right pant size for her haha. So we got her an outfit and then had lunch at the food court. We wanted to watch a movie, but there wasn’t enough time since Marlon and I had work that afternoon. It was about 1130 when we decided we were done with the mall. Marlon asked me where else we could take his mom since he didn’t know the ways around San Diego himself- I suggested the Cabrillo Monument & Light House, Balboa Park, The Cliffs or the beach. I asked auntie where she wanted to go and she wanted to go to the beach. On our way to the beach, Marlon took the wrong exit and we ended up driving towards the cliffs so we stopped for a little and then left. Then we headed to OB, walked around the beach, took a few pictures and hung out at the pier. After the pier, we headed to Mission Beach where we took a few more pictures, enjoyed the nice breeze since it was so hot that day and went to the shops and looked around. We left around 130 so we can get to work. 

It was nice meeting his mom, she’s super nice and sweet. While we were taking pictures she told me to come and take a picture with her which surprised me cuz I didn’t expect her to do anything like that esp. since we just met, but it was cute :] Marlon was joking around and said “mom, now you have someone to go shopping with and help you pick out clothes” and she said “yeah huh? that’s good. now i can go shopping.” lol. I was so relieved and happy that she wasn’t quick to judge. It feels good to be where I am now, happy and accepted without trying.

I thank God for what I had then because without the past, there is no future. I have no regrets with my past cuz if it weren’t for the unfortunate happenings, I wouldn’t have done the things I’ve done, wouldn’t be where I am and not have met Marlon. I’ve ACCEPTED the past, my good karma- i’m accepted in my future :] I guess you can say I’m in love again and it feels better than the first time.

Here’s a new track for your playlist….

The “swine” virus really has nothing to do with the whole drunk driving thing during the day, I just thought I’d put two infos together since they derive from the same place. So this “swine” virus… it comes from Mexico and from one of the California State Health officials told us at work last night, 90 people have had it in Mexico and someone brought it here to the SAN DIEGO COUNTY- now 7 people have the SWINE VIRUS—swell eh? NOT! UGH it just makes me mad how asians, filipinos or anyone from another country has to go through extensive medical background check before they’re  considered to be an immigrant to the UNITED STATES and our “neighboring” country who doesn’t get that tough “medical test” is the one that brings some deadly virus that has no cure. Symptoms are: nausea, stomach ache, severe cold and some other stuff. Read up on it cuz this is dumb…argh.

work: i love work, the people I work with are fun and there’s not a dull moment even during serious times.
boo: love him! takes care of me so much it makes me feel weird sometimes haha.
new people: friends out of the norm comfort zone. people including me would consider them “fobs” but these people are pretty cool.
past week or two: i’ve been out more than i’ve slept, but i’m super happy and i’m lovin it.
